Many Christian parents are angered by the fact that schools are becoming more secularized and less godly, and rightly so. This along with the godlessness in all areas of society warrants concern and sometimes action on the part of Christians.
Yet, often we are more apt to point out what we consider the failings of society, while refusing to acknowledge the ways in which we are failing our children at home.
Christian, are you praying and reading God's word daily with your children at home? Are you making that the supreme priority it is due in your family?
I encourage you, before pointing any fingers at systems for what you perceive as their failings to live up to your own responsibilities at home.
Otherwise, worldly lies and perceptions will prevail in the thoughts and resulting actions of your children.
If we want our children to have a godly example to follow, then WE as parents must SET that example.
"...be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." (Romans 12:2)
